Born in Rhode Island and attended St Raphael Academy in Pawtucket 1963-67.

Played Football as a linebacker and Team Captain. Won Class B State Title In 1966. Class president with about 80 boys and we had 4 who were admitted to BROWN. At BROWN majored in Molecular Biology and received A.B . 1967. In 1968 I was Allowed to join KDU where my roommate was Ted Alt. It was a wonderful living experience. I was appointed a clerk and each Sunday evening the brothers would gather in the Living room and I would regail them with stories of the exploits of the past week; It was a weekly roast ! I had gained the moniker ,“THE BEAV” for a Brillo experience during pledging.

Post BROWN I enrolled in Medical School at Tufts. I married in November 1971. To Dot so we bundled up for Boston and landed a great apartment on Beacon Hill Where we lived for a decade. While there we were able to occasionally mingle with Dick and Annette Macadams, as he was in law school for 3 years.. I started post- graduate training upon Medical School completion at Tufts-New England Medical Center. There I spent six years in Medicine then an Infectious Disease Fellowship and Chief Residency.

We were blessed with our first born CAITLIN in 1981 and we moved from Beacon Hill to Winchester MA—where we still reside 40 years later —-albeit a bigger house. Our second was BRENDAN born in 1985. I took a position at a hospital in MEDFORD The Lawrence Memorial. I practiced Infectious Disease and ran a Travel Clinic. It was a heady time as new diseases seemed to arise yearly—-from Legionnaires to AIDS and most recently COVID. I had increasing administrative responsibilities And became Chief of Staff and eventually a Board Member ( 20 years). We went through A series of mergers and now are a subsidiary of TUFTS Medical Center.

I retired once in 2021—-but came back after six months as needed to retire Again 2023. They , however did ask me to stay around to oversee occupational health Which I still do part time. With retirement came more time to travel ( and we have !) and visit grandchildren (two Ages 5 an 9 who live in Westport CT) . My adult children –Caitlin—a soccer start who captained the women’s team at Harvard And son Brendan —who captained his HS lacrosse squad to a state of MA championship—and went on to TUFTS are both employed in finance and married And content.

We are about to spend the holidays of 2023 at Brendan’s home in NY and Dot and we will follow with a stay in NYC to see some Broadway shows, our passion. Best to all in 2024 and beyond.
